🔧 Step-by-Step Installation

1. Prepare the subfloor: The surface must be clean, dry, flat and free from dust, grease, loose material and old adhesive. Fill any cracks with floor-levelling compound. Sand down any raised edges. A perfectly flat subfloor is essential for good adhesion.

2. Acclimatise the planks: Leave the unopened packs in the room for at least 24 hours before installation. This allows the vinyl to adjust to the ambient temperature and humidity, preventing expansion or contraction after fitting.

3. Plan your layout: Lay planks dry to plan the pattern. Stagger joints by at least 15cm between rows. Start from the most visible wall or the centre of the room. Ensure cut pieces at opposite edges are roughly equal width.

4. Peel and press: Remove the protective backing one plank at a time. Position carefully — the adhesive bonds immediately. Press firmly from the centre outwards using your hand or a rubber roller to eliminate air bubbles.

5. Cut to fit: Mark cutting lines with a pencil and straight edge. Score firmly with a sharp craft knife — multiple shallow passes are safer than one deep cut. Snap along the scored line for a clean break.

6. Finish edges: Use appropriate floor threshold strips at doorways and transitions. Apply silicone sealant where the flooring meets walls in wet areas like bathrooms and kitchens.

7. Allow adhesive to cure: Avoid heavy foot traffic and furniture for 24 hours after installation to allow the factory adhesive to fully bond with the subfloor.
