Description
CNC Machine Rubber Sheet – Precision Equipment Base Pad
Purpose-engineered CNC machine rubber sheet for precision equipment mounting, vibration isolation, and levelling applications. This high-density rubber provides the stable, damped foundation that CNC machines require for optimal accuracy and surface finish quality.
Why CNC Machines Need Proper Mounting
CNC machining centres, lathes, and milling machines are precision instruments sensitive to external vibration and floor irregularities. Improper mounting leads to chatter marks, dimensional inaccuracy, premature tool wear, and spindle damage. Our CNC machine rubber pads provide the isolation and stability your equipment demands.

Vibration Isolation for CNC
Effective isolation requires matching pad stiffness to machine weight. Our 65 Shore A compound provides:
- Floor Vibration Isolation: Prevents external vibration from nearby equipment affecting machining accuracy
- Machine Vibration Damping: Reduces transmission of cutting forces into the floor structure
- Resonance Prevention: Controlled deflection avoids amplifying problematic frequencies
- Level Adjustment: Compressible pads allow fine levelling with levelling feet
Key Benefits
- Improved Surface Finish: Reduced chatter means better Ra values on machined parts
- Extended Tool Life: Stable cutting reduces irregular loading that accelerates tool wear
- Spindle Protection: Damped mounting reduces bearing stress and extends spindle life
- Easy Installation: Cut pads to size, place under machine feet or frame
- Cost-Effective: Fraction of the cost of active isolation systems with excellent results
- Free UK Delivery: Fast dispatch to workshops across the UK
Machine Type Guidelines
| Machine Type | Weight Range | Recommended Thickness |
|---|---|---|
| Benchtop CNC Router | 50-200kg | 6-10mm |
| VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) | 2,000-8,000kg | 15-20mm |
| CNC Lathe | 1,000-5,000kg | 12-15mm |
| 5-Axis Machining Centre | 5,000-15,000kg | 20-25mm |
| Large Boring Mill | 10,000-30,000kg | 25mm (multiple layers) |

Installation Best Practice
- Calculate total machine weight including tooling, workholding, and typical workpiece
- Divide weight by number of mounting points to get load per pad
- Size pads so contact pressure falls within 0.4-0.8 MPa range
- Cut pads slightly larger than mounting foot/leveller base
- Position machine on pads and level using machine's built-in levelling feet
- Check level after 24-48 hours as pads settle, readjust if needed
Ordering Information
Sold by the linear metre. Cut to your required pad sizes on site – a sharp utility knife or bandsaw works well. For high-volume or precision-cut pads, ask about our cutting service.
