Anti-Slip Rubber Rolls UK — R11 Rated Non-Slip Matting Cut to Length
Anti-slip rubber rolls are the specification-grade solution for commercial, industrial, and public-access floors where slip prevention is a legal and operational priority. Unlike stick-on anti-slip tape or temporary mats that shift under foot, rubber roll matting provides consistent, bonded coverage across entire floor areas — eliminating trip hazards at joints while delivering certified slip resistance.
The standard against which commercial anti-slip flooring is measured in the UK is DIN 51130 (R-rating), with R11 being the highest practical rating for walkway surfaces. Our R11 anti-slip rubber rolls are mandatory-specification in commercial kitchens, food processing facilities, breweries, chemical handling areas, and any wet or greasy floor environment where HSE guidance stipulates maximum slip resistance. R10 rolls are appropriate for wet areas with lighter contamination risk — changing rooms, pool surrounds, laundry facilities. R9 covers dryer commercial environments including entrance lobbies and retail back-of-house areas.
Surface profiles include raised studs (maximum drainage, highest grip in wet conditions), ribbed (directional grip, popular for ramps and walkways), coin/button (general commercial use), and fine-ribbed (cleanroom and food-grade environments). All profiles are produced in vulcanised SBR or natural rubber, cut from 10m or 20m bulk rolls to your exact linear metre requirement — avoiding waste and reducing project cost.
Installation is permanent via contact adhesive or temporary via gravity/tape, depending on application. In high-footfall commercial spaces, bonded installation is recommended to prevent mat creep and edge lifting. Seams between roll widths should be taped or butted tightly to eliminate any trip hazard.
Our anti-slip rolls also serve as the practical solution for vehicle ramps, loading bay approaches, and external yard surfaces. At 6mm–10mm thickness, they withstand pallet truck and light vehicle traffic without compressing or delaminating. For heavier applications see our Heavy Duty Rubber Matting range.

Is anti-slip rubber roll compliant with HSE slip prevention guidance?
Yes. The Health and Safety Executive's guidance on slip and trip prevention (HSG156) recommends adequate floor slip resistance maintained in the actual conditions of use. R11-rated rubber roll matting in wet, contaminated, or food-preparation environments directly addresses the HSE requirement for high-risk areas. Using certified-rated matting also provides a strong defence in the event of an employer's liability claim following a slip incident.
Can anti-slip rubber rolls be cleaned with a pressure washer?
Yes. Rubber matting can be pressure washed in situ. Remove any loose debris first, then use a medium-pressure wash with a neutral or alkaline cleaning agent. Avoid high-temperature steam cleaning on bonded installations as this can loosen the adhesive bond at edges. In food environments, rubber matting should be cleaned to the same schedule as the floor beneath — at minimum daily at close of production.
